4th of July Incident & Arrest

On July 4, 2025, while in Newport Beach, California, Josh had one of the most intense meltdowns he ever had, even being violent toward Tony Bame during the stream. It is unknown what triggered the crashout as the stream started as it was happening, but it was worsened with trolls frybagging him. Josh's meltdown was so intense that he resisted being held back and spat on the trolls. He also got very aggressive to many people who were trying to hold him back. Tony also crashed out on Josh after he spat on them, leading him to break down. Josh was later arrested by the police.

The arrest comes after Josh’s “sober week”. It is currently unknown what exactly caused Josh crash out hard, but he was arrested for assault and battery from the incident.

Background & Meltdown

Before the livestream began, an altercation occurred involving Josh and several people. Josh was seen hitting a girl, prompting a group, including a man known as Fake Trump, Tony, and several others to chase after him. They retaliated, with Josh punching the same girl again. Another girl then slapped Josh across the face, breaking his glasses, which were subsequently stomped on by the girl he had initially hit.

In a separate video, Josh is seen running along the beach while biting his own hand, with Tony running after him. During the chase, Josh trips himself over Tony’s leg, causing both to fall. The moment appears as though Tony bodyslams Josh, who lands on his back and begins screaming in apparent pain.

Josh was already having a meltdown when the livestream on Parti began. Within seconds, visible wounds appeared on Tony’s back, suggesting that Josh had become physically aggressive toward him. As the stream continued, Josh repeatedly complained that he couldn’t see, blaming the broken glasses, and began repeating several of his known catchphrases.

When frybaggers arrived, Josh sprayed water at them. After being frybagged again, a crowd started to gather, escalating the situation into a larger scene. Josh resisted being restrained and was seen spitting at individuals nearby. This prompted Tony to lose his temper and yell at Josh, which led to Josh crying and declaring that he now hated Tony.

The situation escalated further when Josh suddenly lunged at a group of men unprovoked, attempting to attack them before being restrained. Once seated again, his meltdown intensified. He screamed repeatedly and struggled against both Tony and "Fake Trump."

A woman approached and attempted to comfort Josh, who continued sobbing about his broken glasses. Multiple 911 calls were made, and police, fire, and medical personnel arrived on the scene shortly afterward. As emergency responders began their investigation, Josh abruptly calmed down and was ultimately arrested at the end of the stream.

The Arrest

Josh was arrested at the end of the livestream and was taken and held in jail. He was charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, and was held at a bond of $25,000. He was bonded out by Grandpa Block within nine hours. Josh stated that he had the "most insulting" 4th of July and wants to flee the country.

Criminal Proceedings

On August 6th, Josh's attorney Christine R. Martin entered a plea of not guilty on his two charges for assault and battery. His next hearing, originally scheduled for August 15th, was cancelled and was rescheduled for September 16, 2025 at 8:30 AM PST in room H10 at the Superior Court of California, County of Orange. The court ordered four conditions, respectively that Josh avoids contact with the victim, obeys all laws and have three self-help meetings per week until his next court hearing.

Josh had a virtual hearing on October 27, 2025 at 8:30 AM PST. He pleaded not guilty, and had an appearance on December 8, 2025 for a pretrial hearing. During his hearing on January 14, 2026, Josh was given a diversion; according to Josh himself, that means "1 month alcohol treatment."

Josh's appeared in court on January 27, 2026 for another pre-trial hearing with a diversion motion. Diversion was denied by the judge, likely because the treatment was still under review. The next court hearing is scheduled for February 11, 2026.
