“ | FUCK YOU TIKTOK! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU GOT ME INTO THIS MESS! IF I DIDN'T DOWNLOAD THAT STUPID CLOCK APP IN THE FIRST PLACE, I WOULDN'T BE IN THIS SITUATION! I HATE TIKTOK!(X3) I HATE IT! | ” |
— Joshua Block blaming the app for his prolems[1] |
TikTok, known in mainland China and Hong Kong as Douyin, is a social media and short-form online video platform owned by Chinese Internet company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which may range in duration from three seconds to 60 minutes. It can be accessed through a mobile app or through its website. Josh often refers to it as the Clock App.
He established an account there so he can become famous and currently has around 3.9 million followers on his account. He used to use TikTok to post dancing videos and coffee and boba, with the occasional animal cruelty videos, but then began to post drinking content while wandering around the streets of New York, where he attracted the attention of Michael Quinn, who became his first handler.
Prior to working with Mr. Based, he would do livestreams there on his own, which has been discontinued due to his deteriorating mental health caused by drinking. Currently, his handlers livestream him on another site called Parti.
Nowadays, he posts life updates of his "luxurious" lifestyle such as drinking and traveling videos. Trolls often use these videos to get his location, leading Josh to say, "How do they find me?" He has claimed the app ruined his life and is the source of all his problems. Because of the trolls, he has threatened to delete the app, but when he actually deleted it, he panicked until he was able to re-download it.
