On July 16, 2025, Josh was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric facility under the Baker Act following a suicide threat made during a livestream the previous evening. [1]
Background
On the evening of July 15, 2025, Josh and Tony were livestreaming together. During the stream, Josh appeared heavily intoxicated and vomited. Once outside, he expressed that he liked his alcoholism, claiming it helped him cope with his problems. The situation escalated when Josh threatened to take his own life, boasting about attempting suicide from a second-floor hotel balcony. Tony, growing concerned, warned that he would call for help. Afterward, Josh became inactive on all his accounts. It was later confirmed through a call from Flanagan to Mr. Based that Josh had been institutionalized. [2]
