The Area 140 First Bar, more commonly known as Durgy's Bar or just simply Durgy's after its owner, Michael "Durgy" Durgavich, is a dive bar that is a frequent streaming location in the Mr. Based Era. The bar is often referred to by its common name only on the subreddit due to Reddit's policies against doxxing and Josh and Mr. Based mostly refers to the bar with its common name in a feeble attempt to deter trolls. There is an Ipswich Town FC flag on the wall of the bar which can frequently be seen in the background of the streams.
Durgy's Bar permits the livestreams from Mr. Based. Some streams featured the bartenders remarking how their affiliation with Josh was good for business, but many patrons loudly object to having cameras pointed at them. On some occasions Josh flees into the bar to seek refuge as he's being pursued by trolls, bringing a commotion inside. Josh has vomited all over himself in this bar once and the next day returned with a $100 tip for the bartender who had to clean up the mess.
At one point, Josh stated that he was getting an apartment in New York and was planning on having Durgy as his roomate.[1]
On April 10, 2025 Mr. Based was arrested inside the bar for violating the restraining order protecting Alex Novell.

Posted in the now-defunct Discord server of Mr. Based, it was revealed by a bartender that Durgy often chooses to sleep in the basement of Area 140 rather than in his own apartment.
