The sexuality of Joshua Block has been a matter of debate within the community, with most believing that Josh is unlikely to be straight/heterosexual.[1] For a long time, the most common speculation is of him being asexual, as he shows little to no interest in sex whatsoever. [2] Despite this, he seems to be more comfortable around men than women.

In late 2024 and 2025 onwards, Josh has become more sexually active - including non-consensually motorboating Gianna Jean, supposedly losing his virginity to Claire on two occasions, and simulating violence and oral sex on a child sized doll. The recent events suggest in general that Joshua has inadequate control over his sexual urges, and many in the community have speculated that he even may harbour pedophilic thoughts and tendencies - although it must be stressed for the sake of neutrality that Josh has not been known to have aforementioned pedophilic characteristics in the past, and the Doll Incident may have been a clear demonstration of Josh’s mental deficits and lack of social awareness due to autism.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can influence how individuals perceive, express, and interpret social and romantic relationships. Autistic people may experience sexuality differently due to variations in social communication, sensory sensitivities, and cognitive processing.

In other words, since Josh is autistic, his understanding and experiences of sexuality and romance will be notably different than non-autistic people's.

List of incidents

The following is an incomplete list of moments related to Joshua Block's sexuality or romantic life:

  • Josh has explicitly claimed he's never had an erection in his life, also claiming it's because he's never had a girlfriend.[3]
    • More recently, he claims he doesn't know why he can't get an erection.[4]
  • Josh has been famously B-A-N-N-E-D from Tinder, so he moved to Grindr, a LGBTQ+ dating/hookup app.[5][6]
  • Josh has visited gay bars on multiple occasions.[7]
    • In one instance, Josh seemed unusually excited from seeing "nude guys dancing", then proceeded to stim.[8]
  • Josh posted a video unintentionally featuring gay porn being played on TVs at a bar.[9]
  • Mr. Based asked Josh if his penis was circumcised, to which Josh replied "probably".[10]
  • During the Danny Duncan collab, Josh appeared to be fascinated after Danny began urinating in his direction.[11][12]
  • Josh had created an OnlyFans account.[13]
  • In a visit to Amsterdam, Josh notably went to the red light district, where "they put the condom on [him]".[14] Josh apparently paid €100 for a handjob, and refused to pay €200 for sex.[15]
  • Mr. Based is obsessed with Josh losing his virginity, to the point where he's hired a "girlfriend" for Josh, Claire.
    • On January 15, 2025, Josh supposedly lost his virginity to Claire.[16][17]
    • On April 6, 2025, Mr. Based streamed with Josh and Claire again, this time where Josh supposedly had vaginal sex with her, after Based provided a Magnum XL condom and two rhino pills.
  • Josh "motorboated", physically assaulted and 'searched' Gianna Jean on stream.
  • Josh dismembered, hit, undressed, spanked and simulated oral sex on a child sized doll.
  • When Josh went to the red light district of Paris in March 2024, he was thrown tomatoes at him by a woman by the door of a 'bar'.[18]
